Voices of Recovery San Mateo County 

has formed a number of Committees to date:

Volunteers staff our Committees, Services Center and events, assist drop-in visitors, facilitate Workshops and Groups and maintain our resource library.

Advisory Committee - Our Advisory Committee makes recommendations regarding programs, policy and projects to staff and our Board.  The committee meets on the last Thursday of each month at 5:30PM

Media and Advocacy Committee -- Our Media and Advocacy Committee manages public communications and researches issues relevant to the recovery community and VORSMC Initiatives. The committee meets on the last Thursday of each month at 4:30PM

Center/Events Committee – The Center/Events Committee is responsible for the Center’s Operation and Program and Services support, and for planning VOR events.  The committee meets Every Tuesday at 5:00PM.

Committee Member of the Month


Our January 2012 Committee Member of the Month is Aireen De La Cruz! Aireen is a panelist for ‘Stamp Out Stigma’ and recently joined Voices as a Wellness Coach, in addition to lending her energy to our growth and development. Congratulations and Thank You, Aireen!

Volunteer Spotlight

VORSMC Volunteer, Lee Harrison had the special honor of delivering the Keynote
Address at the January 27th Drug Court Graduation Ceremony. District
Attorney Stephen A. Wagstaffe, Superior Court Judge, Richard Livermore and BHRS
Director Steve Kaplan were among the many attendees celebrating the graduates’
successful completion of the program. DA Wagstaffe commented, “This is the
real evidence that programs like our Drug Court make a difference.” We applaud
the work and dedication of the Drug Court Team and our Criminal Justice Division for
their support and commitment to recovery and treatment.
