Voices Mourned the loss of Sue Simmons and Celebrates her Life

Sue Simmons, a dedicated and loyal VORSMC volunteer and WRAP graduate departed this life on October 6, 20011.  Sue was loved and respected by many, and humbly accepted the mantle of role model or many in recovery.  Her story is one of hope and courage. She will be missed.

As a member of VORSMC, Sue lent her energy to several committees and was always willing to give back in any way that she could.

Sue recently addresed the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors as a part of the San Mateo County Recovery Happens Celebration events. She also served on the planning committee for the events of the day, which brought together more than 700 people in AOD and Mental Health recovery, treament and service agencies, and family members at our Recovery Happens picnic celebration.
