Voices of Recovery San Mateo County

Advocacy is one of the cornerstones of our Mission

We believe in the power of encouraging people in recovery and family members to find and use their Voices to Advocate together and for themselves for treatment, fair consideration and recognition of their Rights, Humanity and Dignity.

Listening to each others' voices and helping individuals to find their voices are the keys to Advocacy and fighting stigma.  VORSMC members are encouraged and supported in their efforts to find their voices through participation with us, and through social media.

VORSMC member and volunteer, Pam W. created a Digital Story while participating in a San Mateo County BHRS project.  She has graciously allowed us t share her story with you here.  Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgXfW4bCMNI
