Voices of Recovery San Mateo County

Voices of Recovery is for people seeking and maintaining long-term recovery from their own addictions, and long-term recovery from being affected by other people's addictions.

HOLIDAY MESSAGE 2011

Season's Greetings,

Many Blessings to you and your loved ones during this Holiday Season. On behalf of Voices of Recovery San Mateo County, our Board of Directors and myself I sincerely wish to thank you for your support and participation in the growth and success that we've realized and been fortunate to be a part of in our communities.

We've enjoyed being a part of the unprecedented successes that the San Mateo County recovery community has seen this year. The message is clear, and becoming more widely heard that treatment works and recovery does happen. It is also clear that there is much work to do.

As the voices of people in recovery (and those who support them) are being heard more widely, so too are needs for support, services and advocacy becoming more apparent. Economic stressors continue to have detrimental effects on families, youth and services, and it is becoming increasingly important that we collaborate as a combined community to meet the needs and challenges of our many diverse groups who are in need and at risk.

We are confident that we all collectively, as a county-wide recovery community, have the resources in organizations and dedicated people to continue to build on our strengths and be champions of change.

Again, thank you for lending your spirits, energies and voices to the efforts that so many have been a part of this year. We are grateful and humbled to have the privilege of sharing our Mission and efforts with all of you. You have much to be proud of. You have made a difference.

Best wishes for the Holiday Season!

Raymond Mills, Executive Director and our Board of Directors
